Blunder Awareness Example #2

Academy | Calculation | Blunder Awareness | Example #2

White intends to play 1. Bf3. Why would this be a blunder?

Solution: 1. Bf3? Qe5+, followed by 2… Qxa1.

Observation

White seems to have overlooked that moving the bishop from e2 exposed the king along the e-file. It also shows a lack of full board awareness, as the rook on a1 was left undefended and vulnerable to Qe5+. Your tactical skill, of course, is also crucial for quickly spotting or avoiding such blunders.
