What if 1. Rd7 g6 ?, 2. Nh6+ doesn’t work anymore because of 2. …Bxh6 So, what should white do if 1. …g6 ?

1… g6 2.Rxc7 or Rad1. The solution is not so much a winning tactic. Instead, it illustrates how white can improve the position of his rook by relying on the “indirect defense” of the d7-square.
